Century 21 Real Estate Agents

Century 21 is a real estate agent franchise company that was founded in Orange County, California by Art Bartlett, Walter Bartlett and Marsh Fisher in 1971. The company went public in 1977 and today has about 7,600 independently owned and operated offices in 71 countries and territories. They have international offices in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Today, Century 21's international headquarters resides in Parsippany, New Jersey and is a subsidiary of Realogy, a company that owns several other real estate companies, including Coldwell Banker, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, ERA Real Estate and Sotheby's International Realty. Century 21 provides comprehensive management, training, marketing and administrative support to its agents and has become the world's largest residential real estate sales organization.

In addition to helping customers buy and sell homes, Century 21 provides relocation services for individuals, corporations and members of the military, as well as buy and sell commercial and vacation properties. Century 21 Fine Homes & Estates, created in 1996, concentrates on real estate services for high-end properties priced at $500,000 and above.

Since 1979, Century 21 has raised over $103 million in lifetime contributions to its sole philanthropic partner, Easter Seals, which is currently campaigning for early detection and treatment for children under five who enter school with learning and health issues. Since 2002, Century 21 has been the all-time leading corporate sponsor for Easter Seals.

Century 21's Move to Internet Marketing
In order to stay current, Century 21 adapted its advertising methods in 2009 with an Internet advertising campaign that included partnering with other real estate listing web sites. Century 21 has won various awards over the years, including its website, century21.com, being honored by the OMMA Awards with an Online Advertising Creativity Award and a Web Award by the Web Marketing Association for real estate excellence in 2009.

To keep home buyers and sellers informed and inspired, Century 21 launched its official blog, @C21 Home Matters, in 2011 to give tips, industry news and the latest trends regarding homeownership. In the same year Century 21 released a new version of its iPhone app and apps for other platforms, including Blackberry, Android, and Palm devices.

Most recently, Century 21 has announced it will begin advertising on Pandora Radio and has created its own customized radio station, primarily for their sales professionals to use during open houses, which will play a mix of contemporary music with on-air advertisements that provide exclusive branding for Century 21.
